PQ Positive Intelligence Training is a system to help increase your mental fitness.

Sometimes, without you even realising it, the automated thought patterns of your mind work ‘against you’ rather than ‘for you’.

The idea of being mentally fit is that you can spot when these automated thought patters are not serving you, so that you can course correct and choose a response that is more positive constructive or helpful to you on the path to achieving your goals

Can you recognise when you self sabotage?

The problem with self sabotage is that often the patterns we engage in are so automated to us, we don’t even notice what we are saying or doing is a form of self sabotage.

Something triggers you to feel upset, annoyed, disappointed, angry (in fact any negative emotion) and you immediately react with negative or unhelpful thoughts about the situation or person that caused it (even if that person is YOU!)

That kicks off further unhelpful behaviours - maybe you avoid the issue, or try and take control and start micromanaging every detail on a project. These actions while intended to ‘sort’ the situation often do more harm than good.

The result: off we go right back to the start again!

And how they get in your way

First and foremost you get to learn about the saboteurs that all humans have. There are 10 of these nasty characters.

Every single person has a “Judge” saboteur - the one who starts off all self sabotaging patterns by criticising ourselves, others and our circumstances.

  • At the outset, you’ll identify some common goals that you are motivated to work towards

I’m Lara Meyer, a researcher turned coach for leaders & businesses in the insights industry

Throughout my near 20 year research and insights career, I’ve worked agency, client side and now for myself.

I’ve lived in many countries across the globe and done research in and travelled to many more. I’ve led teams large and small... I know the funny jargon of research, what really makes a learning you can take action on and the politics of landing a sensitive insight.

I ALSO know intimately the late nights, demanding clients, the stress of too many projects with not enough team members to really deliver…

And I know that two decades on, many of these fundamental challenges of our industry have not changed.

In fact, the impact of hybrid working, new generations in the workforce, the impact of technology and AI, not to mention global challenges with cost of living and financial cut backs mean it probably is tougher than ever

That said, with the benefit of hindsight and educating myself in good leadership, growth mindset, positive psychology and cognitive neuroscience, I can see just how much of the time my mindset was getting in the way of my personal progress, but also that of my teams and as a result the company that I worked for.

  • With the PQ Positive Intelligence training programme most people report feeling more positive after just the first 3 weeks, and even more so once they have actually completed the Mental Fitness Training.

    Then, you’ll be putting your tools and muscles into practice. Examples from clients as they work through the programme include
